Ian taught himself to shoe by watching the best of the local blacksmiths. From the time he got up the nerve to drive that first nail into a hoof, he has never looked back. He designed a blacksmithing aid to hold a horse's foot when shoeing and bought a rack for those "difficult" cases. Ian loves to explain the process to any and all who are interested.
